Automation, downsizing and outsourcing have left many Americans feeling insecure
about their jobs. "Replaced by a Chimp" contemplates an even more radical form of
corporate cost-cutting.
Instead of giving jobs to lower-paid workers overseas, the series explores the possibility
of sending various occupations down the evolutionary ladder. Each episode of this
Web comedy series gives a deserving chimp the chance to demonstrate his or her aptitude
at an occupation traditionally performed by Homo sapiens.
